Your Vulnerability is your Power

by Kate Joyner

TRANSCRIPT:

Actually the great paradox is that our power is deeply vulnerable, and our vulnerability is deeply powerful.

So it is this space of when we inhabit our own strength, centre, discernment, our boundary. It brings us into the core of us, and in that core is the truth of who we are. And there’s a resting, there’s a resting that’s allowed when we’re not having to prove ourselves or make anything happen we can just simply be in the truth of who we are. And that’s what this one allows, she allows this this truth without performance without anything needing to happen. She’s just totally rooted in herself and rooted in the ground.

She speaks for the heart, you know, where the especially like, where we’ve been wounded, where we’ve been, like, you know, where we do carry the battle scars and she seeks justice and she goes into that place not just for herself, not just for her own battle scars, but because it’s also for the good the serving of humanity and the collective. When she begins to express it kind of broadens out from our personal wound story into how our personal wound story is woven into the fabric of the the wound in the collective and that’s where she gets fired up. And that’s where she’s like, Alright, let’s go let’s bring some magic to this place. Let’s create, you know, justice and change and all of these things,

The Warrior is the healthy expression of our boundary and our fire and our anger. It’s like where we’re a no to whatever is our particular sensitivity, right? And our sensitivity is rooted in the Wounded Child. And so on the other side, you know, on the sub personality side of the Warrior is… I’m not going to say what it is because you’re gonna meet her and I don’t want to give it away but it’s the way that we protect that is a defence rather than protecting that’s in service. So it’s the way that we put up our walls.

And so this healthy expression of fire then just allows us to be in our truth and to be in the Revelation which is much more revealing and therefore much more vulnerable. Because it’s like: “I’m gonna say no to that, because that touches what I deeply value.” And what you deeply value is connected to what you care about, and also what you have a sensitivity to and is connected to that place of that vulnerability. So that’s what I mean when when I say the place of power is deeply vulnerable, because we’re revealing when we do it in this way, rather than than the defensive like: “Fuck you, just get out my space.” It’s like, actually, the Warrior allows us to stay relational, because she allows us to like, reveal. “Okay, this is a truth of mine, and I’m going to reveal it and I’m going to stand for it I’m going to advocate it.”

Be it whether the micro moments of interpersonal, or the really wider collective thing. So it’s all kind of like the complexity of this, the the web of our psyches are all kinds of really woven in at the core that is this vulnerability so the more that we cultivate wholeness, and love, you know, because in each of these facets of wholeness, they’re are a frequency of love.

The more that we can inhabit love, and then from the place of love meet like the the sensitivity and the vulnerability, the more that we create freedom, not just for ourselves, but also for the people that we’re in relationship with. Because we get to express ourselves more fully, and then we also get to unhook from all the places that we’re needing things to be a certain way in order to meet our vulnerability. We just come into deeper relationship with our vulnerability, that deep, deep sensitivity, the place where we’ve been really deeply wounded, the place where we’ve been, like, severed from the fabric of the web itself, and also the relational web, and kind of left in desolation and rejection and abandonment and all of these things. So that we can come into relationship with that place, that sensitivity and then advocate for it, and then build a foundation of love. The more that we’re integrated with that sensitivity, rather than a victim of it. So therefore, that sensitivity becomes a place of our power; it becomes a place of our gift, it becomes the place of our magic, rather than the place of our victim, of being disempowered.
